Your first day with Scanmerce

1. Create and confirm your business

1. At scanmerce.com, choose Create a business account. Enter your business details and a new password.
2. Open the newest confirmation email. If it is missing, check spam and use Resend confirmation email on the confirmation page.
3. Confirmation starts your 14-day Basic trial without a card. Use the same login on the website and in the app; do not create another business in the app.
4. Choose a paid plan in Billing when ready. Without payment, access for the business and employees pauses at trial expiry. Records and the eBay connection are retained for at least 30 days for reactivation.

2. Connect eBay and choose warehouse defaults

1. A business manager connects the seller account from the workspace connection control or Settings. Employees use the shared business connection; they do not need the owner's eBay password.
2. Approve access on eBay, return to Scanmerce, and allow the initial import to finish. Orders and listings import separately.
3. Set up warehouse locations and shipping, payment, and return policies. A single warehouse is selected automatically; choose the appropriate location when there is more than one.
4. Orders normally refresh every 10 minutes and active listings hourly. Refresh does not require reconnecting unless authorization has actually expired. If a provider limit is shown, repeated taps or reconnecting will not reset that limit.

3. Invite and manage employees

1. Use Employees in the website or the app's team settings to send a private invitation. Each person should use their own account.
2. The employee opens the invitation email, completes account setup, then signs into the app or website with that email.
3. Assign only the permissions needed. Employees prepare drafts; management reviews and publishes. The primary Admin controls manager removal and company billing.
4. Deactivate someone when they leave. Their historical work remains attributable, but an inactive membership does not consume an employee seat. Pending, unexpired invitations also reserve seats.

4. Create, review, and publish a listing

1. Open eBay Listing Studio on your phone or computer. Search by title or UPC, or create a listing from scratch. In newer app versions, the barcode button fills the UPC from a scan.
2. Review category, condition, item specifics, title, description, photos, price, weight, dimensions, warehouse, and policies. Sell Similar leaves the new description and SKU for you to enter.
3. Save while working. Mark the draft ready when it is complete, and wait for confirmation that it reached the shared cloud. A phone-only save is not proof management received it.
4. Management opens the ready queue, edits the draft, and can Check with eBay, Save, List to eBay, or send it back with a note. Listing to eBay is a live publishing action.
5. Returned work appears in Fix draft. Read the manager note, correct the item, and mark it ready again. Successfully published listings leave the working-draft queues.

5. Review accuracy findings

1. New and edited imported listings are eligible for automatic checking while the business has access and checks remaining. Importing and checking are separate jobs, so an import refresh is not an instant accuracy result.
2. The checker compares available exact-UPC product identity, listing facts, and readable product photos. Missing data or an inconclusive result is not a guarantee a listing is correct.
3. Open a finding, review the evidence, and correct the listing on eBay when needed. Mark it reviewed after you have made your decision; reviews are shared across the business.
4. Brand-only differences and UPC-catalog pack quantity differences are not intended flags. A clear title-versus-photo quantity contradiction can be flagged.
5. Eligible paid plans offer a manual full-store review. Checks stop at plan or provider safety limits without automatic overage charges. Scanmerce does not automatically edit or end listings.

6. Pull, scan, and ship together

1. Open Sales to pull and find the order's shelf and SKU. Confirm the correct physical item before marking it pulled.
2. Use the app to scan the item and shipping-label tracking barcode and check that they match. A generic website Mark complete action is not a physical barcode verification.
3. Finish the shipment and allow cloud synchronization. Newer app builds share pulled/shipped progress between employees; keep all devices updated.
4. Offline changes need a successful sync before another device can see them. Do not repeatedly redo completed work if a device shows an offline or synchronization warning.

7. Print SKU and shelf labels

1. Choose Print labels in the website sidebar. Pick a common size or enter the actual label width and height.
2. Preview the SKU or shelf range and quantity before creating the job. Use the generated label PDF rather than printing the entire website.
3. Select matching paper dimensions in the printer driver and print at Actual size / 100%. Disable browser headers and footers if using browser printing.
4. Print one test label and measure it before a large batch. Printer paper settings can override the dimensions in a correctly sized PDF.

8. Research prices and read reports

1. Use Market price check and select your warehouse in the newer app. Its postal code provides the research location.
2. Compare active listings and available completed-sales history. In newer app builds, select an active comparison title to open it on eBay; Sell Similar remains a separate action.
3. Lister performance and profit reports rely on imported records and recorded costs. Missing cost data is not zero cost, and estimated profit is not an accounting statement.
4. A reviewed duplicate-SKU warning is dismissed for the business without deleting inventory or ending an eBay listing. A new distinct duplicate may require a new review.
