Listing Accuracy Check

Catch eBay listing mistakes before buyers do

A wrong pack count, horsepower rating or model number can turn a sale into a return. Listing Accuracy Check gives new and edited eBay listings a second look and shows you the evidence behind each possible mistake. You decide what to change.

Why listing mistakes are expensive

Under the eBay Money Back Guarantee, when an item does not match the listing the seller is responsible for return shipping. On top of that you refund the sale, lose the time spent packing and shipping, and risk negative feedback. Most of these returns start with a small detail that nobody caught before the listing went live.

What it looks for

Listing Accuracy Check compares the facts in a live listing with the evidence available for that item:

  • Exact UPC identity. When the listing has a UPC, the product it identifies is compared with what the title and description claim.
  • Readable packaging details. Clearly readable details in your photos, like counts, sizes and model numbers, are compared with the listing text.
  • Title and description facts. Quantities, specifications and model details are checked for contradictions.

4-pack of brass hose connectors

Listing says 4-pack. The photo shows 3 connectors.

1 HP irrigation pump

Listing says 1 HP. The matching UPC identifies a 1.5 HP model.

Illustrative examples, not customer results. Brand-only differences, unrelated UPC products and UPC-catalog pack quantity differences are not intended flags.

How it fits into your day

  1. Your first eBay import is a free baseline. It does not automatically check your old listings or use any checks.
  2. New and edited listings are checked automatically while your business has access and checks remaining. Importing and checking are separate jobs, so results can arrive after an import finishes.
  3. Review each finding with its evidence. Open the listing on eBay, make the change if one is needed, then mark the finding reviewed. Reviews are shared across your business.
  4. Review the whole store when you want to. Every paid plan includes a manual full-store review, which uses your plan’s check allowance.

You stay in control

Scanmerce never edits or ends a listing automatically. A flag is a request for a person to look, not a verdict: AI can miss a problem or flag something that is correct, and a missing or inconclusive result is not a guarantee that a listing is right. That is why every finding shows the reason and the evidence it is based on.

Allowances on every plan

The 14-day free trial includes 100 checks in total. Paid plans include 100, 300, 1,000 or 5,000 checks a month, including annual plans. Reaching the limit pauses only the checker until the displayed reset date, and there are no automatic overage charges. Frequently asked questions

Does the AI change my eBay listings?

No. Listing Accuracy Check flags potential contradictions for you to review. It never edits or ends a live listing automatically.

Will it check every listing in my store?

Your first import is a free baseline and is not checked automatically. New and meaningfully edited listings are checked after that, and every paid plan can run a manual full-store review within its check allowance.

What kinds of mistakes can it find?

Contradictions between a listing’s title and description, the product identified by an exact UPC match, and clearly readable details in the photos, such as pack counts, model numbers and specifications.

Is a clean result a guarantee that my listing is correct?

No. AI can miss issues or flag something that is correct, and missing data can make a result inconclusive. Treat findings as a second look and keep reviewing listings before they go live.
