The problem with handing out your eBay password
When everyone lists from the owner’s login, everyone can do everything: change prices, end listings, read buyer messages and see payouts. You also lose the answer to a simple question: who listed this? Mistakes get found by buyers, after the sale, instead of by you before the listing goes live.
Scanmerce separates the two jobs. A manager connects eBay once through eBay’s authorization screen. Employees sign in to Scanmerce with their own accounts and only get the permissions you assign.
How team listing works
- Invite your listers. Send each person a private invitation from the website or the app. Each employee has their own login and lister identifier.
- Start from a scan or a search. In eBay Listing Studio, listers scan a UPC with the phone or search by title on a phone or computer. They can compare your own inventory and active eBay listings, then start an editable draft, create one from scratch, or use Sell Similar without copying the old SKU or description. Other sellers’ photos are not copied.
- Fill in the details. Category, condition, item specifics, title, description, your own photos, price, weight, dimensions, warehouse and policies all live on one draft that autosaves while they work.
- Mark it Ready. The draft goes to the shared cloud queue. Listers see confirmation when it has arrived, so a phone-only save is never mistaken for a submission.
- Review and publish. Managers open the ready queue on a computer, edit what needs editing, check the draft with eBay and publish approved batches live with policies, location and measurements intact. Anything that needs work goes back with a note.
- Fix and resubmit. Returned drafts appear in Fix draft with the manager’s note. The lister corrects the item and marks it Ready again.
See who is doing the work
Every draft carries the lister’s identifier. Managers see each lister’s daily draft and live-listing totals, so you can spot who needs help, who is ready for more responsibility and how much listing capacity your team really has.

Control access when people come and go
